2. Q. What is a talent show?
A. An activity in which someone performs an act of singing, dancing or
other types of talents to show to people.
3. Q. What type of events will you do?

4. Q. Will your service plan the entire event,
and arrange for other services such as caters, or other performers, if
I give you all the information about my event?
A. Although, we are not considered a party planner service, and usually
do not do the planning for others events, we can assist in, and make recommendations
on ways to make the event more exciting, entertaining, and memorable.
5. Q. What exactly
does it mean, when you say that you are a community/customer oriented
service?
A. Our service operates using, and believing in a community & customer
philosophy, that the community and our customers come first, with what
their needs, wants, and how they need & want to be entertained, rather
than what we like, or thinkge
6. Q. I understand that you have about, 15,000
CD's. Is this true?
A. Yes, we have about, 15,000 plus CD 's, equal to about, 25,000 plus
tracks of music, comedy, sound tracks, and more all available for play
at events.
7. Q. So, if you have 15000 CD's do you always
take every one of the CD's to every event, that you play music at?
A. No, because all of these tracks of music are located in a digital database,
that is played through a computer, although we do have another 5,000 tracks
of music, in a hardcopy library that we usually don't need on gigs.
8. Q. Are you able to take requests for particular
songs, at an event, and if so, how long do you have to wait before you
can hear your request?
A. Yes, we can, and do take requests, unless the hiring person, tells
us not to. Normally, we can locate a song within about 20-30 seconds,
and depending on the amount of requests we have, we can play your request
within about 5-19 minutes.
9. Q. If you don't have something that a
person requests, but someone has the song on a MP3 player, can you use
that player somehow, to play the song?
A. Yes, as long as the player has either, a headphone, or USB jack, we
can hookup most players or even cell phones, to our system, and play any
song that is on the players.
10. Q. When you conduct a talent show, you
say that every participant can receive a free CD recording of their performance.
Is that true?
A. Yes, the cost of giving each participant a CD recording of their performance
is part of the total cost of the charges for the event, or compliments
of us.
11. Q. So, if I am a participant in a talent
show, how long do I have to wait to receive to receive my performance
CD recording?
A. We ask that you allow a minimum of, 2-3 weeks, to receive those CD's
in the mail, if you provided us with your address.
12. Q. Does your service give out any of
my personal information that I give to you?
A. No, you contact, or any other personal information, is never share
with anyone else, or other businesses, for any reason, without your permission
to do so.
13. Q. What other type of interactive things,
can you conduct, or provide during an event, other than talent shows?
A. We can assist in, or conduct a variety of, fun dance routines such
as, Dollar Dances, Musical Broom Dances, Square Dances, etc, as well as,
assist in, or conduct other games, and drawings for you.
14. Q. For any of the interactive things
such as, talent shows, games, drawings, etc., who supplies the prizes
for the participating, or the winners?
A .Normally, the customer supplies the prizes for these activities, although
for most public events, we can assist in, obtain merchandise, or coupons
from local merchants, as sponsors, or for a minimum charge of prize items,
we can supply the items, if necessary.
15. Q. When your service is providing entertainment
for my event, am I allowed to have additional, live performers at the
event, or must it be only your service?
A. Actually we invite you, to have other live performers, on site, especially
if it is an all day event, as it gives us a chance to readjust, and cool
our equipment.
16. Q. If I do have additional, live performers
at my event, do they need to bring their own P.A. equipment, or can they
use yours?
A. Yes, other musicians, bands, singers, etc., can normally wire their
instruments directly in, and through our equipment, if they wish to do
so.
17. Q. Will you provide entertainment for
events being held outside, or do you only do events that are indoors?
A. Yes, it doesn't matter, indoors, outdoors, in the city, or country,
wherever you wish to, and our having your event, we will be there to entertain
you.
18. Q. You imply in your slogan, that the customer can basically pick
all of the music for their party, or event, do you actually allow the
customer to pick all the music, and design the entertainment the way they
want?
A. Yes, as they say, "it’s your party", so if you wish
to, you can pick the music, and arrange it how you want it played, or
we can do all of it ourselves. It doesn't matter.
19. Q. I noticed that you give quite a sample listing of your library,
as far as the artists that you have, but, do you have a catalog available
that lists all of the music that you have?
A. Unfortunately, no we don't. Because of us having more than 15,000 CD's
in a digital database, and another 5,000 tracks of music in a hardcopy
library, it would be impossible to list everything in a single place,
even
on this site.
20. Q. Do you have all of the beautiful and really cool lighting, like
most of those clubs, and dances do?
A. Yes, we have a very wide variety of colored and spot lighting, from
the basic Disco balls, to the very elite sound active lighting, that controls
itself, with speed, color, shapes and pattern display, and more.
21. Q. Have you ever, or will you play music, or provide entertainment,
for religious oriented events, such as church socials, gospel singings,
etc., or is that an event type that you prefer not to take part in?
A. Yes, we would be more than happy to provide the music, entertainment,
or general P.A. service for most any type of religious events, as our
co-owners come from a Christian background and believe that the church
is very important to the continuation of a good society.
22. Q. Is it possible for your service to provide the background music,
for the visitation portion of, and/or, the music for funerals, either
live, or on CD's?
A. Yes, we can provide the music for funerals, and/or, the visitations,
as well as, post receptions, either in person, or, on CD, of which is
preferred.
23. Q. How far in advance, should a person schedule their event dates
& times with your service, to be guaranteed the dates and services
requested?
A. We prefer that, most dates be booked within 30 days, prior to the event,
although, the further in advance that you can book your dates, the more
we can guarantee you those dates.
24. Q. Are you able to appear at an event, to serve as a substitute, for
a performer that could not show and how much notice would you need?
A. Yes, we can in most cases, act as a substitute entertainment provider,
for events, usually with about a, 24 hour notice,
depending on the location, and type of event.
25. Q. Can your service provide entertainment, or P.A. service, for those
events such as, fairs, festivals, etc., that last two days, or more in
length and/or, may require more than one general P.A. location?
A. Yes, depending on location, and/or, distance from Moberly, we can provide
entertainment services to any type of event, from one day, through a week
or more, if we can stay on site, and we can have multi broadcast locations,
if necessary.
26. Q. Do you accept requests, for your service to bid on jobs, for providing
entertainment, or do you always use the rate charts, for pricing all events?
A. Yes, we will accept requests, for us to bid on most events, if you
provide us with the information, about event type, dates & times,
and what services is needed, and if other entertainment providers will
also be providing entertainment in conjunction with us, at the same time.
27. Q. Do you consider yourselves, to be professionals, or, just the everyday
type of persons?
A. Every one associated with H-J Audio, is consider to be professionals,
far as, they are familiar with music, and the entertainment business,
and are expected to act respectful, and professional while at events,
while at the same time, we hope you find our persons to be, the boy next
door, that is a friendly, courteous, social type of person.
28. Q. Do you require, that a contract be signed, and if so, what all
must I agree to?
A. Usually, most events we would prefer that a, simple one page, contract,
containing the basic information of, event dates/times, event type, location,
services to be provided, charges, and other special notes that you have
made for the event.
29. Q. Does H-J audio, have any future plans to expand their service,
to operating a banquet center, for dances, or other events, and maybe
making some of your music available through a CD store?
A. As to a dance center/banquet hall, yes, we are considering open a building,
for holding dances, and other events, in the future. However, we had not
considered the idea of opening a music/CD store, but, will consider it,
as a future adventure, if there are enough requests for it.
30. Q. Do you have any CD's, or music by local musicians, that you can
play at parties?
A. Yes, we some music by local musicians & bands that we do play at
events & parties. However, if you know of any local artist that has
CD's, or other music available, please contact us with their information.
31. Q. I noticed that you offer studio recording possibilities, for local
musicians & bands. So, if my band, or a person singing karaoke, records
in your studio, can you play that music at gigs?
A. Yes, we can and usually try to play those recordings at various events,
but only if we have the musicians or bands permission to do so.
32. Q. Are you only interested in the music of local musicians & bands,
or are you interested in local musicians from anywhere?
A. Although, we are primarily interested in local musicians from Missouri,
we definitely are still interested in local musicians from anywhere, in
the USA, or abroad, as long as the musician or band sounds good, and demonstrates
talent. If you know of any artist from anywhere, please let
us know about them, or have them to contact us.
33. Q. Do you have any music that you can play, that is from other countries,
or where the singer speaks a different language than English, that would
be entertaining for foreign people?
A. Yes, again we have some foreign music that we can play at events. However,
if you need this type of music played at your event, we would need an
advance notice of this, prior to the event, as most foreign music is kept
in a different database.
34. Q. Do you have any holiday, or other specialized music, for holiday
parties?
A. Yes, we have all sorts of music available that is appropriate for most
any holiday you can imagine.
35. Q. I heard somewhere, that some DJ services have been doing some type
of event, that helps promote small businesses. Do you do anything like
that?
A. Yes, it is called, a Musical Business Promotional Event or M.B.P.E..

36. Q. Do you have the capability, in addition to recording the events
or parties, in audio, to also record the entire event on video?
A. Unfortunately, not at this time. However, due to some requests for
this service, we are considering the video recording, for a minimum fee,
as an addition to our mobile DJ service, in the future.
37. Q. Do you have any products for sale, either on line, or at your office,
that has your service's name, or other slogans on them?
A. The sale of a whole line of various products, will be coming available
for sale by order, with our business's name, and/or, or slogans on them,
